NOTICE OF SHERIFF’S SALE
Public notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a Judgment entered by the
Circuit Court of Pope County, Illinois, in the above entitled action on the
19th day of January, 2012, Jerry Suits, Sheriff of Pope County, Illinois, will
sell at public auction that certain real estate and premises located in Pope
County, Illinois, and described as follows:
The South Half (S 1/2) of the Southwest Fourth (SW 1/4) of Section Seventeen; the Southeast Fourth (SE 1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section
Eighteen; the Northeast Fourth (NE 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of
Section 19; the North Half (N 1/2) of the Southeast Fourth (SE 1/4) of the
Northeast quarter (NE 1/4) of the Section Nineteen; all of said real estate
being in Township Eleven (11) South, Range Five (5) East of the 3rd Principial
Meridian, located in the County of Pope, State of Illinois.
The Sheriff’s sale shall be held on the 5th day of September, 2012, at 9:00 o’clock A.M., at or near the front door of the Pope County Courthouse, located
in Golconda, IL.
The real estate and premises shall be sold to the highest bidder, provided that the bid on the same is equal to at least two-thirds (2/3) of the valuation
placed thereon, as shown by the Report of the Commissioner, with the minimum bid
required thus being the amount of $270,000.00. The real estate and premises
shall be sold en toto.
The sale will be made on the following terms:A. Ten (10%) percent of the bid shall be paid in cash or by certified bank check at the time of acceptance of the bid, with said payment to be
non-refundable;
B. Balance of the purchase price shall be paid in cash or by certified bank check within 48 hours of the time of sale, following which the Sheriff shall
deliver the proceeds realized from the sale into Court, and thereafter file his
Report of Proceedings herein. Upon the Court’s confirmation of the Sheriff’s
Report, a Sheriff’s Deed may thereafter be issued to the purchaser or
purchasers, subject to all existing encumbrances, liens, and unpaid taxes on the
said real estate and premises, except as otherwise provided by the Judgment
herein.
